STANDARD IN-PERSON CLASS Driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) requires a higher level of knowledge, experience, skills, and physical abilities than that required to drive a non-commercial vehicle. In order to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), an applicant must pass both skills and knowledge testing geared to these higher standards. This class will provide the classroom portion of the CDL endorsement steps. In this course you have the opportunity to learn the basic operation of a CDL vehicle, pre-trip inspection, safe operating procedures, advance operating procedures, vehicle systems and malfunctions, and non-driving activities. Class time will include CDL simulator time. This is a very reading and classwork intensive class. A licensed instructor will be available for assistance, questions and to implement simulator time. Students do NOT need to be present at all scheduled hours of the class periods, but may attend all hours if needed or desired. Students ARE required to attend the first day of class to get registered and to obtain all course material. At that time, you can decide what hours you will attend in person. After students complete their ELDT (Entry Level Driver's Training), you will need to complete behind the wheel independently. No behind the wheel training will be given as part of this class. Resources for this will be shared by the instructor. If your future includes needing a CDL endorsement, this course not only helps you gain the knowledge you will need to become licensed, but will save you a significant amount of money. Requirements to register for this class: 18 years or older Hold a current class 'D' or higher MN driver's license Ability to pass clean D.O.T. drug test at time of licensing Computer or similar and internet access (if you do not have access, instructor will accommodate your needs - please answer questions during the enrollment process) FEDERAL 'EXPRESS' PACKAGE This class will bring you through the Federal registration requirements that need to be met for obtaining your theory signoff. You will complete the classwork independently, and a licensed instructor will sign off on coursework completion and assist with online registration. Classes will meet for three hours each class session. Students enrolling in Classroom Driver's Education should be within 3 months of turning 15 by the end of the last date of the Driver's Ed Class. Students MUST BE 15 in order to take the permit test. Listed below are the four requirements to complete Driver's education successfully through Mille Lacs Driving Instruction. Attendance of all 30 hours of classroom instruction. NO behavioral issues during class time, prior to class start within the building, or during breaks. If behaviors occur, the instructor OR Community Services staff reserves the right to expel students from the course, which will result in forfeiture of fees. Completion of ALL classroom in-class work and homework. Full payment of course fee prior to class start date.

ECFE Out and About Get ready for outdoor fun with ECFE Out and About! Join Ms. Angela, one of our experienced early childhood educators, for a playful mix of directed activities like painting, hands-on projects, and open playground time. Each session is designed to spark creativity, build skills, and offer opportunities for families to connect and enjoy time together in the great outdoors. This class is part of our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program—so parent or caregiver participation is expected and encouraged. It's a special time for you and your child to explore, learn, and grow side-by-side! Ages: 1–5 years (with a parent or caregiver) Instructor: Ms. Angela Location: Outdoor community spaces and playgrounds (varies by session) Registration: Required weekly unless full summer payment is made in advance. ECFE+1 Age Group: 3-year-olds Overview: ECFE+1 is a unique early childhood class designed for families who want to provide their 3-year-old with additional classroom experience and socialization opportunities. This program blends the supportive, parent-child engagement of Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) with the structured learning environment of a traditional preschool. Class Structure: Parent & Child Day: Once per week, parents attend with their child for an interactive ECFE session. This time includes guided play, early learning activities, and a parenting discussion facilitated by an early childhood educator. Parents will gain insights into child development and strategies to support learning at home. Preschool Day: On the second day each week, children attend independently, experiencing a preschool-style classroom with hands-on activities, peer interactions, and foundational learning experiences that build social-emotional and early academic skills. Sixth Grade students will join the 7th-8th Grade Middle School Basketball Program. Students will participate in practices and a selection of games determined by coaches. Information regarding games to be communicated by coaches prior to event. Skip dates listed follow district calendar, coaches will confirm and communicate any non-practice dates or changes in schedule. This opportunity will include strenuous workouts for kids with previous basketball experience. If you feel that your child does not meet this criteria, they have an opportunity to play with the Little Falls Youth Basketball Association. This class is ONLY for those who participated on the High School team during the previous gymnastics season. Class registration will be by invitation only, and a passcode will be provided to participants prior to class enrollment. It is designed to complement high school gymnastics with Summer conditioning, and is instructed by the Varsity coaching staff. PLEASE NOTE: Parents and siblings are not allowed in the gymnastics area during instruction time. The last day of each session will be a time for parents to come in and see the awesome skills their athlete has learned!

This class is designed for youth to have FUN while learning some science concepts (inquiry based). We will be using the simplest of techniques (freezer bags and ice) - An ice cream social is planned at the end of class with lots of flavored syrups and toppings to choose from. Come and have some fun with your friends!!
