"Move with Ease: Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program" Move with Ease is an Arthritis Foundation Exercise Class (AFEP) that is an evidence-based program and proven to be effective in managing arthritis symptoms. This class will minimize joint stress and maximize function for individuals with various types and stages of arthritis. These exercises will improve physical health, reduce pain, better mobility, increase energy, refine balance, and enhance daily activities resulting in increased independence and better social connections. We will focus on the whole body to improve joint range of motion, strength and endurance. Working on posture and core strength will improve stability, coordination and overall fitness. Exercises are adaptable and can be done in a chair, standing even on the floor (or bring home and do on a bed) if you are able and willing to try. Recommended for all fitness levels. What to bring: Exercise belt, gait belt or towel (5-8ft long) Used for stretching. Length needed depends on how flexible you are. Exercise mat (recommended not required) Bath towel for cushion/comfort if you choose to partake in floor exercises We provide: Resistance bands hand weights ankle weights ** Arthritis Foundation also claims participants may also be able to use funds from Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) with a Letter of Medical Necessity from their doctor recommending the program for arthritis management.
