Private Pilot Ground School
Interested in learning how to fly? This course is designed to prepare adults for the Private Pilot Knowledge Exam and an introductory flight with an instructor. At the end of this course, you will understand operations of the flight controls and instruments, airport and airspace considerations, aircraft weight and balance, aircraft performance tables, basic weather meteorology, federal aviation regulations, flight psychology, and emergency preparedness. After completing this course, aspiring pilots (16 years and older) will be prepared to take the F.A.A. Private Pilot Knowledge Exam. This is a great way to begin an exciting career in aviation or to start a new hobby. Taught by certified flight instructors provided by Lakes Area Aviation. High School participants will receive 1 H.S. credit upon course completion. -

Focaccia, Stromboli, & Calzones! OH MY!
What makes a Focaccia a Focaccia, a Stromboli a Stromboli, and a Calzone a Calzone? How are they different? How are they the same? Discover the answer to these questions as you participate in this fun-filled Cook-Along Class as we dive into the world of unique Rolled & Stuffed Pizzas, and marvelous focaccia bread! Learn how to make your own homemade Focaccia Bread, a wonderful rolled pizza called a Stromboli, and stuffed Pizzas, known as Calzones with homemade pizza dough! Experience the rave reviews from previous participants of the instructor’s pizza classes yourself as you learn how to make your own pizzas with her step-by-step instruction. Take out Pizza may just become a thing of the past! On the Menu: Stromboli (rolled / filled pizza), Calzones (stuffed pizza), wonderful Focaccia Bread, and an OUTOF-THIS-WORLD Pizza Sauce. TWO different types of homemade dough will be used. One will be for the pizza options, the other for the focaccia. The instructor will provide Step-by-step guidance and instruction help to ensure the process is a simple as can be. Participants can personalize their pizzas with and focaccia bread with toppings and fillings of their choosing. All recipes have been created by the instructor, and tested time and time again over the years, to ensure maximum flavor and ease. Choose which ones you would like to make and watch a demonstration of the others or if you feel up to it, make them all! You will feel like a pro after this class and be confident enough to create all of this deliciousness time and time again. NOTE: The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. This class will take place on Zoom, free online software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and prep. A professionally made PDF packet of the Instructors Personal Recipes from this class will also be received. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun! Equipment Needs: A 9x13 non-stick baking pan or a larger sheet pan will be needed for the focaccia bread. Additional sheet pans will be needed for the Stromboli and the Calzones. A stand mixer is highly recommended in order to be able to make the dough for both options during the class. Note: One registration fee for this online virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home ONLY. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, EACH household must register SEPARATELY even if participating together. -

Central MN Realty is hosting their annual Homeownership Expo in partnership with Little Falls Community Services. We are looking for vendors, such as Lender's, Insurance Agents, Contractors, Lawn & Landscaping, Roofers, Electricians, HVAC, Fencing and More!! The $75 booth fee includes an 8 foot table, chairs, social media shoutout through LF Community Services and on the Central MN Realty Little Falls Facebook pages, vendor contact info will also be on posters handed out to the attendees. This is a great opportunity to grow your business and meet new customers in an Expo style atmosphere. Please bring a tablecloth, door prizes and other marketing materials for your booth. Setup time for the Expo starts after 3:30, please go through Door 19 (commons area door) Sign up today and mark your calendars for the Expo, April 16th from 4:30-7:30 at the Little Falls Middle School Commons. This is a free and open to the public event. Appetizers and bottle waters will be provided during the event. -

What is Sourdough Basics class?This is a class to teach you about the unique skills it takes to make a basic sourdough loaf of bread as well as how to care for your starter. We will touch on the benefits of sourdough and why it is good for your gut health. Who is the class meant for?This class is for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of baking sourdough. What will you learn? You will learn the fundamentals of caring for a sourdough starter. As well as how to mix and bake your classic sourdough loaf. What will you need to bring?Nothing!!What will you bring home?This class will provide you with the unique things that you may not have in your kitchen such as a sourdough starter, a sourdough wisk, banaton basket, flour to care for your starter for the first few days you have it at home, recipes, and notes on what the class was all about. There will be lots of sourdough goodies to taste and sample! What do you need at home to use your new skills? You will need to make sure your kitchen has a large mixing bowl - preferably glass or stainless steel, but plastic will work if need be. You will need a Dutch oven, kitchen scraper, a wooden spoon, parchment paper, and a kitchen scale. If you don’t have a kitchen scale Walmart in Little Falls carries a basic one for about $12.00. This class is going to be upbeat , hands on and very fun. You will get your fingers dirty learning to do stretch and folds as well as shaping your loaf. Come hungry because you will want to taste the goodness! This class will teach the basics but sourdough is more than just bread, it can be bagels, crackers, muffins and even tortillas shells! So start small and come learn what might be your newest hobby! What to Expect: Interactive Learning: The class will be structured to encourage participation, allowing you to ask questions and share your experiences as we go along. Don't hesitate to voice your thoughts or concerns; this is a welcoming environment for all levels of bakers. Sourdough Variations: While our focus will be on the classic loaf, you'll also get a glimpse into the possibilities that sourdough offers. Advanced Sourdough: Bread Inclusions, Cupcakes, Crackers & More!Once you've mastered the basics, this is a great next step. You will learn how to add bold flavors to your bread, as well as use up your extra starter on some tasty new treats. If you are enrolling in advanced sourdough, you have previously taken Daniella's classes OR can care for a starter on your own.
