Get ready to skate, play, and have fun with Little Stars Hockey Training! Designed just for our youngest athletes—ages 3½ through Kindergarten—this co-ed program introduces kids to the exciting world of hockey in a playful, supportive environment.
Through fun games, basic drills, and age-appropriate activities, little players will start building coordination, balance, and confidence on and off the ice. Our experienced coaches focus on foundational skills like stickhandling, passing, and movement, all while keeping things energetic and encouraging.
No experience needed—just bring your energy and a smile! This is the perfect first step into the sport, where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Brynn Marie Thoma
Co-Coach
Brynn Thoma is a 2025 graduate of LFCHS, graduating in the top 20 of her class. She participated in LFYH from ice mites through 15u and was a four-year Brainerd-Little Falls Warrior Varsity Hockey player. Besides hockey, Brynn played volleyball and softball for the Flyers. Brynn plans to attend Concordia College in Moorhead in the Fall for Food Science or Nursing and to play hockey for the Cobbers.
Joseph Mathew Welinski
Co-Coach
Joey Welinski is a 2025 graduate of LFCHS, graduating in the top 20 of his class. He participated in LFYH from ice mites through bantams and was a four-year Flyer Varsity Hockey player. Highlights from Joey’s Flyer Hockey career include 2-year captain, a total of 111 career points, and the 2025 “will to win” award as well as the Hobey Baker Award. Besides hockey Joey played football and baseball. Joey was named the 2025 Male Athlete of the Year and named to the 2025 HS “All-Star” team for baseball. Joey plans to attend Concordia College in Moorhead in the Fall for Nursing and to play baseball for the Cobbers.
