Youth Track & Field

Join Us for Track & Field!

Come and get an introduction to what Track & Field is all about! Our youth coaches will lead athletes through daily warm-up routines and a variety of workouts designed to teach the fundamentals of running, jumping, and throwing.

Athletes will have the opportunity to try a variety of events, including:

• Field Events: High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put
  
• Running Events: Sprints, longer distances (optional), and hurdles
  

There will be at least two meets where athletes will compete against 5th and 6th graders from other schools. This is a great opportunity to experience friendly competition and showcase new skills!

Additional Information:

• Transportation to and from meets will be provided.
  
• Athletes will receive a team shirt to wear at meets.
  
• Please make sure athletes come dressed appropriately for outdoor practices, as spring weather can be unpredictable.
  
• In the case of inclement weather, practices will be held indoors at the middle school or at Lindbergh.
