Summer Baseball Basics
Baseball Basics: Building Baseball Skills for K-2 Players! Ready to step up to the plate? Baseball Basics is designed for young athletes in Kindergarten through 2nd grade who are ready to advance their baseball skills in a fun and supportive environment. This program works on basic fundamentals while introducing more structured drills and game-like situations to help players develop confidence, coordination, and teamwork. In this engaging class, kids will refine their hitting, throwing, and fielding techniques while learning the rules of the game. Players will participate in interactive drills, skill-building challenges, and modified scrimmage exercises to put their growing abilities into action. Each session will focus on: ⚾ Hitting with Power & Accuracy – Players will work on proper batting stance, swing mechanics, and hand-eye coordination to make solid contact with the ball. 🥎 Throwing & Catching Fundamentals – Improved throwing techniques and catching confidence will be emphasized to develop strong defensive skills. 🏃 Base Running & Game Awareness – Kids will learn when to run and how to round the bases efficiently. 🧤 Fielding Techniques – Introduction to proper fielding mechanics, including ready position, glove work, and reacting to ground balls. 🤝 Teamwork & Sportsmanship – Through small-group drills and team-based challenges, players will learn communication skills, teamwork, and positive competition. 🎉 Mini Scrimmages & Game Play! – Players will have the opportunity to apply their skills in modified, small-sided games to help them understand real baseball situations. Junior Victory League JVL
Junior Victory League – Fun, Teamwork & Sportsmanship! Join our Junior Victory League, a fun and casual program designed to introduce kids to team sports in an encouraging, low-pressure environment! Our league focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development while ensuring every child has a great experience on the field. League Details: 🏆 Fun-Focused & Age-Based: This league is designed for players within specific age guidelines to ensure fair and balanced play. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate players outside the designated age range. 📋 Team Formation: Players will be placed on teams based on the date their registration form is received and the number of available coaches. Teams are limited to 13 players, and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If teams reach capacity and we do not have enough coaches, late registrants may not be placed on a team. 👥 We Need Parent Volunteer Coaches! To ensure every child gets to play, we rely on parent volunteers. If you're interested in coaching, please contact Community Services—we’d love your help, and we don’t want to turn kids away! 📅 Practice & Game Schedules: Practice times will vary based on coach availability. Families will receive schedules after registration closes—thank you for your patience as we coordinate with coaches! Away games will be played within a short distance of our community (e.g., Royalton, Pierz, Sobieski, etc.). Parents are responsible for transporting their child to these games. 👕 Uniform T-Shirts Included! IMPORTANT: Please ensure you update your athlete’s t-shirt size at registration. If a size is not provided, we cannot guarantee a uniform shirt for them. We look forward to an exciting season filled with fun, learning, and great memories! Players that will play in Sobieski or Randall should contact the local travel coordinator to register for their team.
