  • Individual Band Lesson - June

Summertime can be a great opportunity for students to 'catch-up' in their lesson books, switch to a different instrument, or learn a new instrument. It is a time for kids to prepare for their first year in Wind Symphony or High School Band, or just have fun playing new music and getting better with their instrument! Youth simply enjoy band more when they are able to play their instrument better. Summer is a perfect time to take one's ability to the next level with individual lessons!
  • Music Exploration

A music major college student is offering summer Music Exploration sessions for kids who are interested in music, instruments, and all things music related! This course is open to pre-K through elementary students who enjoy listening to and learning to identify different types of music genres. They will learn to identify, touch, & hold different musical instruments; and tap into their creative and expressive side while having FUN! Sessions are designed to help foster an early love of music as a way to help kids learn, explore, be creative, and potentially whet their appetites for music as they move up to the grades where they’ll have the opportunity to join band (or choir) in school. In this class kids will: Gain basic music knowledge (through games, activities, & different [pen & pencil] exercises) Be exposed to classical, jazz, rock & roll, reggae, other genres as well as fun childrens’ songs & take a peek into past musical eras to listen to & discuss differences in sounds & moods. Handle a variety of band & string instruments. Learn how music can help them learn & remember things. They’ll have fun learning the actions to silly songs & will even get a hand at creating their own!
