Lifeguard Certification (Varied Schedule)RecreationalLifeguard Certification This class will provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in a pool. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a 2 year American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. You must attend ALL sessions and complete the entire course to receive certification. Times are subject to change, and instructor will work with participant to complete all hours. Prerequisites: Must be 15 years of age by class completion (valid form of identification is required). Swim 300 yards of Crawl stroke or Breaststroke or a combination of those two strokes to complete the 300 yards. Time swim of 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive in depth of 9 feet, retrieve a 10lbs object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to starting point. Must be able to tread water without use of arms for 2 minutes.2025

Open Swim PassesRecreationalThese passes are great for family fun or a day out with friends on non-school days and at other times throughout the school year! Please recognize, these dates are not intended for lap swim or adult physical training. Use this pass to access the Middle School Pool and locker rooms with showers. There are also a variety of snacks offered for sale at the concession area. Dates are listed in registration area, and are subject to change. Enter the Middle School Door 1 (main entry). We encourage online enrollments. If there are no enrollments online for any given open swim day, we will cancel that session without notice. Day passes can be purchased at the pool from the building monitor on duty for $5.00 per individual, or $10.00 for a family (up to 5 people at the same address.) CASH ONLY FOR DAY PASSES ON SITE! Children must be at least 8 years of age and at least 52" tall to swim alone. Children who do not meet these standards must be accompanied in the water by an adult. The pool may need to be closed without notice if there is any condition that endangers the health or safety of the public, as stated by the Minnesota State Health Department. In this event, it may be at least 24 hours before the pool can be reopened. Swim passes also gain you access to the gym area if it is available! Punchcards: If you purchase a punchcard, it will be kept in a file at the concession stand with your family name on it. The monitor on duty will punch your card at each use. Once used up you can purchase a replacement card if desired. Please note: In case of emergencies, cancellation notices are sent out via text to the number on your account.
