In Little Picassos, children and parents will explore a variety of art forms with the ever-creative Ms. Angela and all her amazing ideas. From painting and sculpting to stamping and outdoor art play, this class is all about self-expression, hands-on fun, and making memories together through the magic of art. Location: West Side – Lions Park (near the softball fields) Instructor: Ms. Angela Parent Participation: Required – this is a shared creative experience! Registration: Required prior to each class. Please come dressed for the weather—this class is held rain or shine whenever possible. If there are any cancellations or changes, a text will be sent by Community Services. Note: Older siblings up to age 7 are welcome to attend if they are able to participate actively and appropriately in class activities. Each week, we’ll dive into a new book-themed adventure through hands-on activities, creative crafts, playful games, and more—all inspired by the story of the day. Whether we’re waddling like penguins, making rainbow art, or going on a bear hunt, your child will build early literacy skills while having a blast. Designed for children ages 6 months to 5 years, Music & Movement Mania invites families to explore rhythm, sound, and creative motion through fun weekly themes. Each session will include songs, dancing, instruments, and playful activities that support your child’s development while strengthening your parent-child bond. This is an Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) class, so parent/caregiver participation is a key part of the experience. ECFE Drop & Play offers a safe, welcoming space where your child can play, explore, and connect while you take care of what you need. Designed for children ages 0–7, this drop-off playtime is supervised by an experienced Early Childhood staff member along with a trained high school assistant. During the two-hour session, children will enjoy a variety of age-appropriate toys, activities, and free play in a nurturing, structured environment. WaitlistECFE for 3'sDaytime ClassesPreschool Preview is a daytime family education class designed to prepare children and parents for the preschool experience. Meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00–1:30 PM, families follow an alternating schedule: one day parents attend class with their child, and the next day children attend independently. Children enjoy preschool-style learning through play, songs, stories, and hands-on activities while building early learning, social-emotional, and adaptive skills. WaitlistECFE+1Daytime ClassesECFE+1 Age Group: 3-year-olds Overview: ECFE+1 is a unique early childhood class designed for families who want to provide their 3-year-old with additional classroom experience and socialization opportunities. This program blends the supportive, parent-child engagement of Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) with the structured learning environment of a traditional preschool. Class Structure: Parent & Child Day: Once per week, parents attend with their child for an interactive ECFE session. This time includes guided play, early learning activities, and a parenting discussion facilitated by an early childhood educator. Parents will gain insights into child development and strategies to support learning at home. Preschool Day: On the second day each week, children attend independently, experiencing a preschool-style classroom with hands-on activities, peer interactions, and foundational learning experiences that build social-emotional and early academic skills.
