WaitlistPitching Warm-upSoftballWe have all seen how much pitching can affect the outcome of a game. Now is the time to start developing and improving your skills for next year. Athletes will be working with Coach Abbott, who has over 20 years of coaching experience working with athletes ages 8-19. He has learned the essential biomechanics of pitching and avoids unsafe methods. His dedication to education enhances his teaching skills, helping students reach top pitching levels. He combines video and a small group setting to provide comprehensive instruction. Clinics will include the use of video analysis and pitch speed timing. Series 1: This progressive series is a camp where each week will build on the previous week. Week 1 starts with basic fundamentals, mostly arm and wrist drills. Week 2 will focus on stance and arm path. Week 3 gets the legs involved and week 4 we put it all together and spend the hour just pitching. It is important that you can attend all sessions in order to get the full value of this series. Series 2: This series will focus on working on pieces of mechanics to improve upon and adding a change up. This series is appropriate for the kids that have had some formal training and experience pitching. Beginning pitchers should sign up for Series 1 to get the most benefit in their skills. Please bring a glove, dry tennis shoes, workout clothes, and a catcher if possible. It will be beneficial for pitchers to find their own catcher to work with them during instruction. Catchers who attend will get an opportunity to work on catching skills during pitching drills, and catchers do not pay a user fee.2025
