    Adults with Exceptional Abilities are the most amazing adults getting together for fun, fellowship, and some fun activities. Missy Kahl is a paraprofessional from LFCHS and will facilitate these activities. Join us for a variety of crafts, activities, and fun throughout the year. You can even suggest a new activity they haven't tried yet! Class is held on the first Saturday of each month, and details for the specific activity will be shown in the 'section' information below.Please note: Attendees of many ability levels can participate, but if you require assistance to participate independently, please provide your own personal assistant and equipment as required for your participation. Fees are intended to benefit the participant of the class. All projects, activities and materials used for the class will only be provided for the participant. If you have any questions about what this can look like for you, please call Community Services and we can make a plan to fit your needs.
  • 🍰Spring Cake Pops🌸

    Cake pops aren’t just tasty—they’re fun to make, too! In this sweet class we’ll learn how to mix cake crumbs and buttercream to roll the perfect cake pop, dip them in candy melts, and decorate them with cheerful spring designs. You’ll also practice reading a recipe, following directions, and using kitchen tools safely. Best part? You’ll bring home a batch of beautiful (and delicious!) cake pops to share! 🍰🌸🎉

    Layers of fun, flavor, and frosting—yes, please! In this sweet and creative class, you’ll build your own Cupcake in a Jar using your favorite combos of cake, frosting, fruit filling, sprinkles, and more. Mix, match, and layer your way to dessert perfection! These tasty treats are fun to make, easy to take home, and perfect for parties or just sharing with friends (or not!). Come get messy, creative, and deliciously inspired!

    Adults with Exceptional Abilities: USA Flag Craft Kick off our Adults with Exceptional Abilities program with a hands-on USA flag craft! Participants will create their own decorative American flag to take home and proudly display. This project is designed to be engaging, creative, and adaptable for a variety of ability levels, with guidance and support provided throughout. Missy Kahl, a paraprofessional from LFCHS, will facilitate the activity and help participants enjoy a fun and welcoming environment focused on creativity and connection. This class is part of a monthly series held on the first Saturday of each month, featuring different crafts and activities throughout the year. Participants are encouraged to share ideas for future projects they’d like to try. Attendees of many ability levels are welcome. If you require assistance to participate independently, please attend with your own personal assistant and any necessary equipment. Class fees directly support the participant enrolled, and all materials for the USA flag project will be provided for participants.     Adults with Exceptional Abilities: Mini Golf at Pirate's Cove in Nisswa, followed by lunch at Pizza Ranch! Join us for a fun outing to Pirate’s Cove Mini Golf in Nisswa! Participants will enjoy a round of mini golf on this interactive, pirate-themed course, followed by lunch together at Pizza Ranch. This is a great opportunity to get out, stay active, and spend time with friends in a relaxed setting. Transportation will be provided by van to and from Nisswa. Van transportation does not support wheelchairs. Missy Kahl, paraprofessional from LFCHS, will facilitate the trip and provide support throughout the day. Participants of many ability levels are welcome. If you require assistance to participate independently, please attend with your own personal assistant and any necessary equipment. Fees cover transportation, mini golf, and lunch for the participant.     Adults with Exceptional Abilities: Bowling at Bennington's Entertainment Center Let’s hit the lanes! Join us at Bennington’s Entertainment Center for an morning of bowling, laughter, and friendly competition. Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or just trying it out, this activity is all about having fun and cheering each other on. Pizza and soda will be provided for participants during the event. Please meet us directly at Bennington’s. Missy Kahl will be on-site to facilitate and support participants. Attendees of all ability levels are welcome. If assistance is needed for independent participation, please attend with your own personal assistant and equipment as needed.

    Adults with Exceptional Abilities: Baking Day Get ready to mix, bake, and enjoy! Participants will spend the day in the kitchen creating a variety of delicious treats. From measuring and mixing to decorating and tasting, everyone will be involved in the process. Each participant will leave with a plate of homemade goodies to share (or keep for themselves!). This hands-on activity is perfect for those who enjoy being creative in the kitchen. Missy Kahl will guide participants through each step in a fun and supportive environment. This activity is designed to be relaxing, fun, and accessible for a variety of ability levels, with plenty of encouragement along the way. Missy Kahl will facilitate the session and provide support as needed. All drawing materials will be provided, and participants will leave with their finished artwork.     Adults with Exceptional Abilities: Movie Day in St.Cloud Sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie on the big screen! Participants will travel to a theater in St. Cloud to watch a current film together. This outing offers a fun, shared experience in a comfortable and entertaining setting. Transportation will be provided by van to and from St.Cloud. Van transportation does not support wheelchairs. Participants will work together to complete a fun and engaging scavenger hunt, exploring the park while searching for clues and items along the way. This activity encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and movement in a beautiful outdoor setting. Please meet us directly at the Maple Island Park Pavilion for this event. Missy Kahl will facilitate the activity and support participants throughout the hunt. All materials for the scavenger hunt will be provided.
