In Cupcake Wars: Youth Edition, participants will roll up their sleeves to bake their own cupcakes from scratch. While the cupcakes cool, everyone will enjoy a fun Dinner break together. (Dinner provided by Ms. B) Then the real challenge begins—our Cupcake Decorating Wars! With a wide variety of edible decorations to choose from, youth will design, frost, and decorate their cupcakes in imaginative ways. From sprinkles and candies to colorful frosting and creative toppings, the possibilities are endless. Every child will be celebrated as a winner, with prizes awarded for creativity, effort, and flair. E-sports ClinicEnrichmentThis summer the Little Falls Flyer esports program will be offering an opportunity for younger players to play with and learn from the players on our high school E-Sports team. Meet the team, learn some new tricks, experience our competition titles in our esports lab. Parents are welcome to stay. Information about the program will be available. All participants will be getting personal coaching and significant game time experience at our high school facilities over the course of 3 sessions of 3 hours each. We will be offering 6 games for participants to play and train: Minecraft Bedwars Marvel Rivals Fortnight Rocket League Super Smash Bros Ultimate MarioKart The clinic is open to students that are incoming 5th graders through incoming 9th graders. What to expect: Minecraft,Fortnite, Rivals, and Rocket League players will have their own assigned computer to use for the duration of the clinic. If these players use a controller normally to play at home, they should bring it with them. There will be keyboards, mice and headsets on hand for those that need one. You are welcome, and encouraged, to bring your own keyboard, mouse, controller and headset. Smash bros players will share the use of two console stations with 4 controllers each. You are welcome to bring your own switch controller if you would like. MarioKart players will share the use of two console stations with 4 controllers each. You are welcome to bring your own switch controller if you would like. Participants should bring a sealable bottle for water. We will not allow open liquid containers in the room. Participants will be expected to treat the staff, the facility and any supplied equipment respectfully. If there are behavioral issues, the staff reserve the right to ask a participant to leave, and will foreit their enrollment fee. This class will be instructed by the High School esports coach and players. Proceeds from the course will benefit the team. Sparkle & SprinkleEnrichmentCelebrate Independence Day with a burst of creativity and sweetness! In Sparkle & Sprinkle: 4th of July Cakepops, youth will roll, dip, and decorate their very own cakepops in patriotic style. Using red, white, and blue shimmers, sprinkles, and edible glitter, each cakepop becomes a dazzling treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat. Participants will learn simple cakepop techniques, experiment with colorful designs, and create festive treats perfect for the holiday. At the end of class, everyone will take home their decorated cakepops to share with family and friends—adding sparkle to any 4th of July celebration. *Please only register your child. Welcome to the stage…or should we say, the Beachside Bash! Start your blossoming theatre journey with us this Summer as we dive into a magical, ocean-inspired adventure! Students who have completed grades K–12 are invited to participate in this all-ages production. Speaking and non-speaking roles are available, with acting guidance and support for all experience levels. Campers will get hands-on experience with what it takes to put on a real theatre production—from auditions to rehearsals to live performances. Whether you're a seasoned performer or brand new to the stage, you’ll be part of the action as we bring an exciting, “inspired by” version of The Little Mermaid to life for family and friends! Our original, fun-filled script takes you beneath the waves and beyond, where curious merfolk, quirky sea creatures, and dancing beach buddies discover that following your heart is the greatest treasure of all. Discover that finding your voice is the greatest treasure of all. Expect humor, creativity, and plenty of theatrical surprises along the way! All students should attend Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for auditions, general information, and a first day rehearsal. Bring a snack!The Tuesday–Saturday rehearsal and performance schedule will be shared on Monday and will vary based on age and role in the production. The Great Summer ReadEnrichmentA Book Club for Every Reader Join us this summer for a fun and flexible reading experience designed for students entering grades K–11! This monthly book club series offers reading choices for a variety of ages and reading levels, making it easy for every child to find a book they’ll enjoy. Book selections will be chosen at the time of registration. At the beginning of each month (June, July, and August), students and/or their adult will choose and register for the title they would like to read, pick up the book they selected from the Community Services office. Later in the month, participants will return for a relaxed and engaging book club discussion based on the book they chose. A snack will be provided during each discussion meeting, and students will keep their books to build their home library.
