What is a sourdough class? This is a class to teach you about the unique skills it takes to make a basic sourdough loaf of bread as well as how to care for your starter. We will touch on the benefits of sourdough and why it is good for your gut health. Who is the class meant for? This class is for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of baking sourdough. What will you learn? You will learn the fundamentals of caring for a sourdough starter. As well as how to mix and bake your classic sourdough loaf. What will you need to bring? Nothing!! What will you bring home? This class will provide you with the unique things that you may not have in your kitchen such as a sourdough starter, a sourdough wisk, banaton basket, flour to care for your starter for the first few days you have it at home, recipes, and notes on what the class was all about. There will be lots of sourdough goodies to taste and sample! What do you need at home to use your new skills? You will need to make sure your kitchen has a large mixing bowl - preferably glass or stainless steel, but plastic will work if need be.
