Open Swim Passes
These passes are great for family fun or a day out with friends on non-school days and at other times throughout the school year! Please recognize, these dates are not intended for lap swim or adult physical training. Use this pass to access the Middle School Pool and locker rooms with showers. Enter the Middle School Door 1 (main entry). If you have purchased a pass online, please show your confirmation to the building monitor at the concessions area inside the door. Day passes can be purchased at the pool from the building monitor on duty for $5.00 per individual, or $10.00 for a family (up to 5 people at the same address.) CASH ONLY FOR DAY PASSES ON SITE! Children must be at least 8 years of age and at least 52" tall to swim alone. Children who do not meet these standards must be accompanied in the water by an adult. The pool may need to be closed without notice if there is any condition that endangers the health or safety of the public, as stated by the Minnesota State Health Department. In this event, it may be at least 24 hours before the pool can be reopened. Swim passes also gain you access to the gym area if it is available! DATES AND TIMES: DUE TO THE VARIABILITY OF OUR STAFF SCHEDULES, OUR OPEN SWIM DATES WILL BE SENT OUT VIA A MIX OF DIRECT TEXT MESSAGES TO THOSE WITH A COMMUNITY SERVICES ACCOUNT, AS WELL AS POSTED ON FACEBOOK. YOU MAY ALSO CALL COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTLY WITH QUESTIONS REGARDING DATES AND TIMES. Punchcards: If you purchase a punchcard, it will be kept in a file at the concession stand with your family name on it. The monitor on duty will punch your card at each use. Once used up you can purchase a replacement card if desired. **Punch cards do not expire, and can be used at any open swim date. Level 2 Instructional Swim Lessons
Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Swimmers are introduced to new activities while still building upon what they have previously learned. Skills are learned at a slightly more advanced level as they begin to perform strokes and other skills independently. This program also emphasizes the development of water safety. -
Level 3 Instructional Swim Lessons
Stroke Development: Swimmers begin to do basic strokes for longer distances. As they build their endurance, they also learn fun, new skills like the headfirst entry and more. Level 4 Instructional Swim Lessons
Stroke Improvement: Swimmers will learn all the strokes and perform them for up to 25 yards. As they continue to become proficient swimmers, they will also develop fun and important skills that will help them expand their capabilities in the water. This program also emphasizes the development of water safety. -
Adult Lap Swim
If you haven’t dipped your toes in the water lately, this is a great time to get started. Enjoy the quiet, weather-proof, uncrowded lanes of our lap swim in a kid-free environment! Adult lap swim is open for anyone ages 18+ who can swim independently. This is a non-instructional, swim at your own pace opportunity, but structured swim workouts will also be provided by our aquatics manager, Jayda Alholm. These will be optional, and posted for your use. A certified lifeguard will be on site at all times.Registration is required and space is limited, so sign up today!There are a variety of payment options and prices. Choose your option during the checkout process.Enter the Middle School Pool door. Lockers will be available for your use. Provide your own lock to secure your belongings. Cancellations and schedule changes are made via text, FaceBook and/or email. Please make sure your contact information is up to date in our system. -
Mississippi River Racers - SUMMER TRAINING

Take your swimming to the next level with MRR Competitive Swim Training! MISSISSIPPI RIVER RACERS: RISING STARSDesigned for swimmers who have completed grades 2-6 who are still building endurance and refining their technique, Rising Stars Swim Training offers a fun and challenging environment to develop competitive swimming skills. Under guidance, swimmers will improve their freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly while learning proper technique for flip turns and streamlining.Training sessions will include a mix of skill-building drills, endurance training, and swimming games to keep learning engaging and fun. Swimmers will want to keep coming back for more! Requirement: Participants must confidently swim 50 yards of front crawl and backstroke without stopping, or have completed Level 6 swim lessons, before the class begins. Build endurance, refine technique, and have fun in the water! MISSISSIPPI RIVER RACERS: NEXT LEVELDesigned for swimmers who have completed grades 4-11, this program focuses on building endurance, refining stroke technique, and improving race performance. Athletes will train under the guidance of experienced coaches, developing freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, along with advanced flip turns and race starts.Training sessions include dry-land conditioning to enhance strength, flexibility, and power, as well as focused stroke technique work to maximize efficiency in the water. Drills, interval sets, and endurance challenges will push swimmers to compete at their best while fostering teamwork and a competitive mindset. Requirement: Participants are required to confidently swim 100 yards of front crawl and backstroke with no assistance, and without stopping, before the class begins. If an athlete is unable to complete this requirement, the athlete will be moved to the Rising Stars section, and a refund will be given in the form of an account credit for the difference. Coaches will contact Community Services for enrollment assistance.Train hard, swim fast, and compete with confidence! Please note: Eligibility for each of these levels will be at the coaches discretion. If your athlete is enrolled in a level deemed inappropriate by coaching staff, either up or down, Community Services will modify that registration and refund or charge the balance. Swim Meet Opportunities: Registration includes participation in two swim meet competitions, giving swimmers a chance to apply their skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. These meets will help build confidence, encourage goal setting, and introduce swimmers to the excitement of competitive swimming. More details, including dates and locations, will be provided by the coaches as the season progresses. -
Level 1 Instructional Swim Lessons
Introduction to Water Skills: Children are introduced to essential foundational skills that pave the way for future proficiency in water activities. In this course, swimmers gain confidence and begin to learn how to do skills more independently. This program also emphasizes the development of water safety. -
Private, One-on-One Instructional Swim Lessons
Students receive one-on-one instruction for any of the instructional swim levels. These lessons are also ideal for adults wanting to become more comfortable in the water, or wanting technique training in various strokes. If your choice of lesson is held during Open Swim (Tues/Wed/Thur 1:45-4:00pm), you are invited to participate in Open Swim for as long as you'd like, to practice your new skills! Please note: During the enrollment process, list swim level most recently passed if known, as well as any special concerns or requests. If the participants has special needs and cannot participate independently in the water, a PCA or similar should be provided in the water to assist. You can contact Community Services directly to discuss special circumstances. -
Level 5/6 Instructional Swim Lessons
Stroke Refinement: Swimmers will have the opportunity to build endurance and improve their technique of all six strokes. Level 5 swimmers must complete their strokes for up to 50 yards, while level 6 swimmers will perform their strokes for up to 100 yards. As they build upon their swimming capabilities, they will also learn new skills, including flip turns. This program also emphasizes the development of water safety. -
Pre K Instructional Swim Lessons
Pre K aquatics puts the fun in fundamentals! This course focuses on getting young swimmers comfortable in the water. Each class is loaded with enjoyable, engaging, and challenging activities that motivate children to want to learn how to swim.
