  • Hall Walking

    Several Little Falls schools will be open for you to walk in during the fall and winter months. We encourage you to walk, using our school facilities to keep physically fit. All buildings are easily accessible and have level walking surfaces that are free of snow and ice! Schedules for hall walking are as follows: Lincoln Elementary 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Lindbergh Elementary 4:00-8:00 PM Little Falls Community Middle School 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Dr. SG Knight (Randall) 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Beginning October 1 all listed sites will be open Monday through Friday, except holidays and non-school days. Other activities may be occurring in these buildings during walking hours. Access to area schools is as follows: Lincoln Elementary - Custodial Door #17 on the North side of the building Lindbergh Elementary - Door #12, to the right of main entrance, on upper East side of building Little Falls Middle School - Main Door #1 on the North side of the building Dr. SG Knight - Main Door #1 on the East side of the building Due to the high level of other activities that occur on a daily basis at Lindbergh Elementary and the High School, no walking access is allowed in those buildings. Because of security issues, it is required that you register with Little Falls Community Services before beginning your walking program. This also allows us to contact you in regards to any emergency closings, etc. Each participant IS REQUIRED to pick up their hard plastic hall walking pass from the Community Services office, located at 14800 Riverwood Drive, Little Falls. You can also request to have your pass mailed to your address.

    PiYo is a music-driven, athletic workout inspired by the mind/body practices of Pilates and yoga that also includes flexibility, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement. It is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that uses functional exercises to work the entire body. There is a class drop-in option available. You can attend the class dates that work into your schedule. Class drop-in rates are $10 per class and must be purchased online or via phone BEFORE the morning of the class.

Whether you're a seasoned planeswalker or new to the world of Magic, this is the perfect opportunity to dive into the exciting format of Commander (also known as EDH). What is Magic: The Gathering? Magic: The Gathering (MTG) is a strategy card game where players assume the roles of powerful wizards, known as Planeswalkers, who battle each other using decks of cards representing spells, creatures, and artifacts. The game combines strategic deck-building with tactical gameplay, offering a rich and dynamic experience. What is Commander? Commander is a popular format within MTG that emphasizes creative deck-building and fun, casual play. Each Commander deck is built around a legendary creature or planeswalker, known as the "Commander," and contains exactly 100 cards, including a diverse mix of spells and creatures. The unique deck-building rules and the emphasis on multiplayer games make Commander a fantastic way to enjoy MTG with friends. Who Can Join? Our Commander Night welcomes players of all skill levels! Whether you’re an experienced commander of your deck or a complete newcomer, you’ll find a friendly and supportive community ready to play and share their knowledge. What to Bring? Feel free to bring your own Commander deck and materials. If you’re new to the game or don’t have a deck yet, no problem! We provide decks and supplies for you to use during the event. Inclusivity: We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. All players, regardless of background or experience, are encouraged to join and enjoy the game in a respectful and fun atmosphere. When and Where?   • Private Pilot Ground School

    Interested in learning how to fly? This course is designed to prepare adults for the Private Pilot Knowledge Exam and an introductory flight with an instructor. At the end of this course, you will understand operations of the flight controls and instruments, airport and airspace considerations, aircraft weight and balance, aircraft performance tables, basic weather meteorology, federal aviation regulations, flight psychology, and emergency preparedness. After completing this course, aspiring pilots (16 years and older) will be prepared to take the F.A.A. Private Pilot Knowledge Exam. This is a great way to begin an exciting career in aviation or to start a new hobby. Taught by certified flight instructors provided by Lakes Area Aviation. High School participants will receive 1 H.S. credit upon course completion.
  • POUND Fitness

    Bring out your inner ROCKSTAR with this fun exercise class!! We combine movement with music and fun of playing drums. This class is for ALL fitness and ability levels. Let loose, get energized, and rock out! Caretakers and staff are invited to enroll along with other attendees! The Workout:Instead of listening to the music, you become the music in this workout program. Using Ripstix, lightly weighted drumsticks made for exercising, POUND lets us drum, move to the music and have a great workout.
  • AWD Dance

    Our dances for Adults with Disabilities are a great way to get out of the house, meet up with friends and shake your tail feathers! Each dance will have a seasonal theme, with a delicious catered meal and non-alcoholic beverages included. Menu is subject to change. Music is provided by North Star Entertainment. Everyone in attendance, including staff members, must purchase a ticket for admission to the dance. "Pay at the Door" is not available.     Adults with Exceptional Abilities are the most amazing adults getting together for fun, fellowship, and some fun activities. Missy Kahl is a paraprofessional from LFCHS and will facilitate these activities. Join us for a variety of crafts, activities, and fun throughout the year. You can even suggest a new activity they haven't tried yet! Class is held on the first Saturday of each month, and details for the specific activity will be shown in the 'section' information below. Please note: Attendees of many ability levels can participate, but if you require assistance to participate independently, please provide your own personal assistant and equipment as required for your participation. Fees are intended to benefit the participant of the class. All projects, activities and materials used for the class will only be provided for the participant.   • Sourdough

    What is a sourdough class? This is a class to teach you about the unique skills it takes to make a basic sourdough loaf of bread as well as how to care for your starter. We will touch on the benefits of sourdough and why it is good for your gut health. Who is the class meant for? This class is for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of baking sourdough. What will you learn? You will learn the fundamentals of caring for a sourdough starter. As well as how to mix and bake your classic sourdough loaf. When will class be held? This class will take place the first Wednesday of November just in time for you to master the technique and make a beautiful loaf for Thanksgiving! If we fill up the initial class, another will be set up. What will you need to bring? Nothing!! What will you bring home? This class will provide you with the unique things that you may not have in your kitchen such as a sourdough starter, a sourdough wisk, banaton basket, flour to care for your starter for the first few days you have it at home, recipes, and notes on what the class was all about. There will be lots of sourdough goodies to taste and sample! What do you need at home to use your new skills? You will need to make sure your kitchen has a large mixing bowl - preferably glass or stainless steel, but plastic will work if need be. You will need a Dutch oven, kitchen scraper, a wooden spoon, parchment paper, and a kitchen scale. If you don’t have a kitchen scale Walmart in Little Falls carries a basic one for about $12.00. This class is going to be upbeat , hands on and very fun. You will get your fingers dirty learning to do stretch and folds as well as shaping your loaf. Come hungry because you will want to taste the goodness! This class will teach the basics but sourdough is more than just bread, it can be bagels, crackers, muffins and even tortillas shells! So start small and come learn what might be your newest hobby! What to Expect: Interactive Learning: The class will be structured to encourage participation, allowing you to ask questions and share your experiences as we go along. Don't hesitate to voice your thoughts or concerns; this is a welcoming environment for all levels of bakers. Step-by-Step Guidance: We will walk through each step of the sourdough-making process together. From creating the perfect starter to the final bake, you'll have support every step of the way. Troubleshooting Tips: Baking can sometimes lead to unexpected results. We’ll discuss common issues you might encounter, such as dough that’s too sticky or a loaf that doesn’t rise, and how to resolve them effectively. Sourdough Variations: While our focus will be on the classic loaf, you'll also get a glimpse into the possibilities that sourdough offers. Learn how to make different types of bread and baked goods, expanding your skills beyond the basics. What to Look Forward To: Take-Home Samples: In addition to the starter and tools, you’ll leave with some of the delicious baked goods we create in class. Share them with friends and family or enjoy them yourself! Community Connection: Connect with fellow baking enthusiasts who share your passion.   • Dreamy Steamed Bao Buns & Korean Bulgogi BBQ Chicken

    Full Class Description: The word “Bao” is derived from the word “Baozi” which means, “to wrap” in Mandarin. Bao buns are often described as “steamed pillows” of deliciousness that are becoming increasingly popular in North America. They are created by freshly steaming yeasted velvety dough, and are then filled with a variety of fillings. During this fun-filled class participants will learn to create delicious Steamed Bao Buns that will be used “to wrap” almost like a little “jacket”, the fantastic filling of Korean Bulgogi BBQ Chicken, and a wonderful variety of quick pickled vegetables! What fun! Everything from the Bao buns, the Korean Bulgogi BBQ chicken and the pickled veggies will be made from scratch in a guided step-by-step fashion, making for a fun, exciting and memorable experience. This class will take place on Zoom, free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and prep. Participants will also receive a copy of the instructor’s personal recipes in PDF format. NOTE: The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. **As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes.   • Zuppa Toscana, Italian Wedding Meatball Soup & Homemade Baguettes (Instant Pot or Stove Top)

  • Canvas and Calm

    Join us for a morning of painting and relaxation. You’ll be guided, step-by-step, through a dot painting process as you create a mandala on a 4x4 canvas. After that you’ll enjoy a peaceful experience where you’ll be immersed in the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls. This morning is dedicated to help quiet the mind and promote a greater sense of wellbeing. Take this time for YOU! No artistic abilities necessary.   • Adult League Volleyball 2024-2025

    This is an adult volleyball league with different levels of competition offered to men, women and co-ed teams. There are two levels of play offered. The levels are described as follows: In the casual play league overhand serving NEEDS to be approved by both teams prior to play; In the power play league overhand serving is allowed at ALL times. Please note: If not enough teams (minimum 4 teams per level) are not registered, casual and power leagues will be combined, and overhand serving will be determined by teams. So please encourage friends to join, so eveyone has competiors at their level! League play is held in the evenings, with varied schedules based on number of teams registered. Schedule information will be shared upon registration completion. Basic times and locations are shown in the enrollment information, but is subject to change. League rules will be provided to all team captains to distribute. Click here for league rules This is an adult volleyball league. PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN TO GAMES. Teams will be asked to forfeit if this occurs. Community Services provides volleyballs, however, outside volleyballs are permitted. Food and beverages are not allowed in the gym spaces, but water bottles are allowed.

The class will last approximately 90 minutes, all necessary supplies provided. You don't have to be an artist or a creative to partake in this event. In fact, if you're thinking, "I could never do that!", then maybe this class is for you! Participants often share how relaxing, satisfying, and enjoyable this process is, much to their surprise.     Full Class Description: Back by popular demand are Tess’ Magical Cheesecake & Brownie Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies, in addition to her ever-popular Holiday Cookie Bake & Decorate class where participants learn the foundations of decorating cookies with Royal Icing! If you are looking to start a new holiday cookie baking & decorating tradition and looking for a NEW SPECTACULAR COOKIE to add to your holiday cookie repertoire look no further! Consider registering for this Virtual, Live, Family Fun Holiday Cookie Baking & Decorating Class for beginners. Gather your family for baking and decorating, or treat yourself to some quality personal fun time. Participants will be baking the cookies for the decorating ahead of time so that they are ready to decorate at the start of class. A PDF with two of the instructors’ personal sugar cookie recipes, and a list of ingredients and supplies needed for the Royal Icing will be provided 5—7 days before the class, to provide time for shopping and baking. The recipes will include a soft and chewy sugar cookie, and a denser crisp sugar cookie. One of the instructor’s favorite holiday cookie cutter shapes is a gingerbread person. This is one shape that proves to be a lot of fun to decorate year after year and some time will definitely be spent on this in addition to other holiday shapes. Choose to bake one or the other or both using cookie cutters of choice. No fancy decorating tips or bags will be needed. We will be using simple plastic sandwich bags to decorate.
