    Adults with Exceptional Abilities are the most amazing adults getting together for fun, fellowship, and some fun activities. Missy Kahl is a paraprofessional from LFCHS and will facilitate these activities. Join us for a variety of crafts, activities, and fun throughout the year. You can even suggest a new activity they haven't tried yet! Class is held on the first Saturday of each month, and details for the specific activity will be shown in the 'section' information below.Please note: Attendees of many ability levels can participate, but if you require assistance to participate independently, please provide your own personal assistant and equipment as required for your participation. Fees are intended to benefit the participant of the class. All projects, activities and materials used for the class will only be provided for the participant.   • Yoga Sculpt

    Get ready to sweat, smile, and move in this transformative, full-body workout! Hot Beats & Burn blends vinyasa yoga with high-energy cardio and endurance training using hand weights and resistance bands. The vibe is upbeat, the music is loud, and the energy is nonstop—we’ll keep you moving and grooving from start to finish! Heated to 80°+, this class is designed to boost cardiovascular and muscular endurance, promote and maintain bone health, and help you build strength in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Reps for each move are high, so choose the weights that work best for you—this class is all about progress, not perfection. Perfect for all ability levels—modifications are offered for every move. What to bring: Light and heavy hand weights (suggested: 3lb–10lb) Yoga mat We provide: Resistance bands Yoga blocks Note: Community Services is working on obtaining sets of hand weights for class use.     We encourage you to head into the High School gymnasium to play some basketball and keep physically fit. The building is easily accessible and both men's and women's locker rooms with showers are available for use. To keep our buildings secure, it is required that you register with Little Falls Community Services before you access the High School prior to the school day. This also allows us to contact you in regards to any emergency closings, etc.
  • Move with Ease

    "Move with Ease: Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program" Move with Ease is an Arthritis Foundation Exercise Class (AFEP) that is an evidence-based program and proven to be effective in managing arthritis symptoms. This class will minimize joint stress and maximize function for individuals with various types and stages of arthritis. These exercises will improve physical health, reduce pain, better mobility, increase energy, refine balance, and enhance daily activities resulting in increased independence and better social connections. We will focus on the whole body to improve joint range of motion, strength and endurance. Working on posture and core strength will improve stability, coordination and overall fitness. Exercises are adaptable and can be done in a chair, standing even on the floor (or bring home and do on a bed) if you are able and willing to try. Recommended for all fitness levels. What to bring: Exercise belt, gait belt or towel (5-8ft long) Used for stretching. Length needed depends on how flexible you are. Exercise mat (recommended not required) Bath towel for cushion/comfort if you choose to partake in floor exercises We provide: Resistance bands hand weights ankle weights ** Arthritis Foundation also claims participants may also be able to use funds from Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) with a Letter of Medical Necessity from their doctor recommending the program for arthritis management.

  • Winter Wonderland Monster Cookies & Stuffed NYC Cookies Workshop!

    Step into a sweet winter wonderland in this joyful holiday cookie workshop cook-along experience led by instructor Tess. Learn to create FOUR amazing gourmet cookies from scratch using two types of dough using Tess’ original recipes. Only requirement is being able to keep the recipes secret! First up, MONSTER COOKIE DOUGH will be used to craft two DIFFERENT types of Monster Cookies, one of which actually looks like the beloved Cookie Monster, and the other is more of a classic albeit moist, delicious, and decadent. They are MASSIVE, colorful, chewy, and loaded with festive mix-ins that are as fun to make, as they are to eat.     Gather the whole family and join in the fun Baking and Building your very own show-stopping gingerbread house from scratch during this festive Family Bake-along experience. Together, we will combine the wonderful flavors of gingerbread and use the dough to create the pieces that will be used to “build” breathtaking houses. We will also whip up the perfect batch of stiff Royal Icing—the edible “glue” that holds everything together and is used to decorate the houses with candies and delicious treats. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, EACH household must register SEPARATELY even if participating together. Equipment needs: Large sheet pan, parchment paper / non-stick baking mat, rolling pin, and mixer will be needed. Other items & Ingredients will be listed in the handout that will be received roughly a week before class.

We will be using regular household items to make this fascinating substance. It’s mesmerizing, it’s satisfying, and once in your hands you can’t put it down! Watch them explore, shape, slice, scoop, squish, smash and flow again and again!

    Who knew fidgets and chocolate could be the perfect pair? In this sweet and silly class, we’ll use Pop It Fidgets to create colorful M&M chocolate bars that are as fun to make as they are to eat! You’ll get to pick your own Pop It to keep, play some awesome games (with chances to win even MORE fidgets!), and take home your tasty creations to share—if they make it that far!
